Dr. Nordt exposes unnecessary surgery in new video – License to Harm

Dr. John C. Nordt, is a respected Orthopedic Spine Surgeon who has been in practice for over 40 years.  Recently, he was featured in a surgeon expose video titled “License to Harm – A Surgeon’s Whistleblower Expose on Surgery and Medical Care”.  The video can be found on YouTube by clicking here .

What is the video about?

In the video, Dr. Nordt discusses how MRI’s are overused to misdiagnose patients and lead them to unnecessary surgeries.  He goes into depth on how a surgeon can no longer be self sustainable in private practice and must succumb to becoming employed by a hospital system to earn enough income to pay off medical school debt and make a living.  He exposes the points system known as the “RVU, Relative Value Units” where surgeons and physicians are monitored for number of surgeries and procedures they perform to determine income level.

The video discusses how Tiger Woods is a victim of a failed healthcare system.  The celebrity athlete has gone through 4 unnecessary major back surgeries due to misdiagnosis.  Dr. Nordt talks about the types of surgeries Tiger had and the reasons he kept getting misdiagnosed.
